Javon Edwards

Coach

Javon Edwards knows what transformation actually takes because he lived it. A lifelong athlete who started playing football and soccer at 9 and picked up the barbell at 12, Javon grew up as the big kid, peaking at 310 pounds at 17. When COVID closed every gym the summer before his senior year, he trained twice a day in his apartment complex gym, dropped 70 pounds, and turned zero recruiting interest into more than 10 college football offers. After three years of college ball, he traded the field for the stage, switching to bodybuilding under the same trainer who had prepped him for college football. Now 23, Javon is prepping for his fourth and fifth shows this fall with his sights set on earning his Pro Card in 2027.

Javon began coaching in 2024 with one mission: educate the misled. He teaches the same lifestyle changes that took him from a 310-pound teenager to a pro contender, and the same blueprint works whether you want to drop a few pounds before vacation, get ready for your season as an athlete, or start your first bodybuilding prep. Javon builds the plan, teaches you why it works, and helps you find the confidence that comes with it.

Education/Certifications/Achievements:

Javon is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and holds an AAS degree in Exercise and Nutrition, with an FRS Mobility certification on the way. He brings 2 years of coaching experience, more than 12 years as a competitive athlete, and over 15 years of strength training to every client he works with. His coaching is built on education first, giving clients the blueprint to build a long, happy, healthy lifestyle.

Favorites:

Javon’s top picks are sushi and a burger and fries he swears he could eat every day without getting tired of it. His training soundtrack runs from reggae to Adele to J. Cole, and his go-to lifts are pull-ups, incline bench, and deadlifts. Outside the gym, you’ll find him touching grass at nearby parks and waterfalls. Atomic Habits and Interstellar hold the top spots on his list.
